The papers of Susan Wealthy Orvis consists mainly of notes (c. 1934-39) taken by Orvis during the lectures of Graduate School of Theology professors Robert Elliot Brown, Francis William Buckler, Clarence Tucker Craig, George Walter Fiske, Clarence Herbert Hamilton, and Walter Marshall Horton. Also included are notes used by Orvis in her teaching at the Schauffler College of Religious and Social Work in Cleveland (1935-1937); correspondence (1922-26, 1934-35, and n.d.); and biographical information, including an account of her experience in Russia during the 1917 revolution.

The Biographical Files include sketches of the life of Susan Wealthy Orvis, grades and lists of personal references, and an account of her experiences in Russia in 1917-1918. The folder containing grades is restricted.

The class notes were recorded by Susan Wealthy Orvis for the courses taught by Graduate School of Theology professors Robert Elliot Brown, Francis William Buckler, Clarence Tucker Craig, George Walter Fiasco, Clearance Herbert Hamilton, and Walter Marshall Horton (1934-1939).  Also included are notes used by Orvis to teach at the Schauffler College (1935-37).
