Scope and Contents: Oberlin College’s recordings on CD-ROM can be found within many record groups. RG 37/4 Audio Recordings: CD-ROMs was set up for recordings other than those transferred from other departments or in personal paper groups. Most of the CD-ROMs in this collection, arranged in two series, are recordings that date from the year 2000 and later. The first series comprises recordings of events or groups on campus, including speaker presentations, symposia, and musical and dramatic performances. These include transfers from other recording media, such as phonograph records, reel-to-reel tapes, cassette tapes and digital audiotapes. The second series is made up of commercial or other proprietary recordings with relevance to Oberlin College or its alumni, faculty, or other personnel.

Commercial or other recordings made by others of performances or events, usually involving Oberlin College alumni, faculty, or other personnel. Consists primarily of musical performance recordings by Conservatory faculty or alumni.
